Last Christmas in Corinth

At six nights between Christmas and New Year 22/23, I created some attention for bars and restaurants in the Κολοκοτρονι-street in Corinth near the harbour, hired by Kostas of Bar Μηδεν Ενα.

Most Visuals were uniquely devoloped – hand crafted – in place in the form of a performance on the house’s projection, taking into account also the logos of the bars involved. As stable key impression of the projection, for every night another shader was mixed with it.

My workplace was a balcony at the restaurant Soul Kitchen opposite, where I was left alone most of my time. Which I appreciated, because for the development of creativity and getting involved in a process of creation, one needs peace and seclusion.

In keeping with the seasonal symbolism, there were a lot of Christmas trees and stars in the visuals. But on the last day of the year I also had my puffing rocket thanks to SpaceX and ISI EROS C-3 Mission’s launch two days before.

Technically two projectors equipped with Tele-lenses were stack on each other to achieve the portrait format of the wall and still maintain the best possible resolution with the steep projection angle. The video signal came in portrait format from the generative software and was captured, processed and split up for the projector’s arrangement by a second one.
